The Knipex 97 81 180 is a 180 mm front-loading crimping pliers designed for crimping wire ferrules to DIN 46228 Part 1 and Part 4 in the range of 0.5 to 6.0 mm. Its longitudinal V-shaped crimping nest accepts wires from the front, making it the tool of choice when side access to conductors is blocked or impossible. A single universal die also handles twin wire ferrules in the range of 2 x 0.25 mm to 2 x 2.5 mm.
