The XS range is an offer of inductive proximity sensors for the detection of metal objects up to 60mm without physical contact. The oscillator produces an alternating electromagnetic field that exits the detection area of the sensor. Any metallic object penetrating this field is then detected. This general purpose flat form inductive proximity sensor is made of plastic and it is flush mountable. Its nominal sensing distance is 40mm, it supports 1 normally open PNP discrete output and it has a switching frequency of 100Hz. It works in a temperature range of -25°C and +70°C, it is dustproof and waterproof (IP67). It is made of plastic. It measures 80mm (length) x 80mm (width) x 26mm (depth). It can operate in very cold (-25°C) and hot environments (+70°C). It is suitable for railway, mobile equipment, lifts and escalators, hoisting, material handling, machine tools, packaging, food and beverage industries, and robotics. This sensor is certified UL, CSA, C-Tick, and Ecolab. It is C-Tick, ECOLAB, CSA, UL certified. The main advantage of the inductive detection offered by the sensors of the XS range is that there is no physical contact with the object to be detected.
