This redundant processor is part of the Modicon M580 range, an offer of Programmable Automation Controllers (PAC) and safety Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) with built-in Ethernet. This product offers a maximum of 31 remote rack configuration with up to 31744 discrete I/O channels and 7936 analog I/O channels. Thanks to a protective coating on its circuit board, this product can be used in harsh environments with a temperature range from -25°C to +60°C/-13°F to 140°F. It is equipped with 1 Ethernet port for service, 2 Ethernet ports for ring remote I/O network (Remote IO racks only) and 1 USB type mini B for programming console. The new grey design is applied for this module with a weight of 0.849kg and its new dimensions 64x130x135mm. This processor is compatible with Modicon X80 and Quantum Modules with RJ45 (490NAC0100) and FO singlemode (490NAC0201) connectors. The CPU must be installed in the rack slots marked 00 and 01, with 2 screws on top of the CPU to maintain the module on the rack. This product can be used in combination with Modicon X80 (I/O, backplane, cable) and works with the EcoStruxure Control Expert programming software.
