This RS485 shielded cable is used to connect 2 safe communication expansion modules. It is designed to link two safe communication modules, in order to create decentralized cabinets of remote IO. This cable figures 2 pairs of twisted conductors with shielding with flying lead connection. RS485 serial interface shielded cables are used between the Bus expansion communication modules to create up to six decentralized safety-related islands with a maximum of 50 meters between each island. It weighs 0.92kg. It measures 10m. It is ideal for monitoring safety functions such as emergency stop, guard monitoring, perimeter guarding, position monitoring, speed monitoring and enabling movement. The Modicon MCM modular safety controller system provide flexibility and scalability from 8 inputs, 2 dual/4 single channel outputs up to 128 inputs, 16 dual/32 single channel outputs, up to 32 or 48 diagnostic status outputs. Modicon MCM modular safety controller system are designed to monitor multiple safety functions on and around a machine to minimise the risk of people accessing the dangerous moving parts of the machine.
